Questions About Dance for 45+?

Find answers about our bachata nights in Dublin, salsa meetups in Cork, and beginner-friendly classes across Ireland.

Not at all. Our sessions are specifically designed for adults 45+ who are completely new to dance. We start with the absolute basics—rhythm, footwork, how to move with a partner—and everyone's learning at the same pace. Most people in our bachata nights in Dublin and salsa meetups in Cork started exactly where you are.

We run regular weekly sessions in both Dublin and Cork—typically one or two nights per week depending on location. Bachata nights in Dublin happen Thursday and Saturday evenings, while Cork salsa meetups are usually Wednesday and Friday. You can join whenever suits your schedule; there's no commitment required.

You absolutely can come alone. In fact, most people do. We rotate partners throughout the session so you'll dance with different people and learn how to adapt to different partners—that's actually a key skill in social dance. It's a great way to meet others in the community too.

The main difference is style focus: our bachata nights in Dublin emphasize connection and smooth, flowing movement, while salsa meetups in Cork concentrate on timing, footwork patterns, and group energy. Both are beginner-friendly and follow the same welcoming approach, just different dance cultures.

Wear something comfortable that lets you move freely—jeans are fine, though many prefer trousers or casual dresses. For shoes, anything smooth-soled works: leather-soled dance shoes are ideal, but clean trainers or smooth street shoes are perfectly acceptable when you're starting out.

Drop-in rates are €10–15 per session, with discounts available if you book a block of 4 or 6 sessions upfront. We also offer monthly passes for regular attendees. Get in touch to ask about current pricing for your nearest location.
